Roomies, the VRT MAX fiction series by Flo Van Deuren and Kato De Boeck, which was the big winner at the Ensors earlier this year, will get an international premiere at the official Short Form competition of the sixth edition of Canneseries (14-19 April 2023).

Roomies premiered at Film Fest Gent and on VRT MAX in October 2022 and was subsequently shown on Eén. The series grew into one of the most watched VRT MAX "originals" since the platform's inception and can still be watched there. At the latest edition of De Ensor Awards, Roomies went home with five statuettes, including the Ensor for Best Fiction Series, Best Screenplay (Fiction-Series) and Best Direction (Fiction-Series).

The pink carpet rolls out for production house De Wereldvrede for a second time, following the selection of Lockdown in 2021. The series of short films by several Flemish directors also won the Student Award for Best Short Form Series at the prestigious festival then.
